Monitoring

Monitoring is essential in determining the presence of a population of an insect in an area and to further track the rise and fall of their population and migratory patterns, as well as detecting their geographical distributions and hotspots in a given area. Once these initial steps are taken, a suitable treatment may be warranted. Given the relative ease of use and inexpensive application, this is an ideal tool and a key element in IPM.
