Damage & Symptoms

Damage results from nymph and adult feeding on fruits, seedpods, buds, leaves and stems of plants. The insertion of piercing-sucking mouthpart when feeding creates: discolouration, deformation, corky fruits, abscission or collapse of berries, death of buds, leaf stippling, stained seeds, delayed maturity, sap flow and discolouration on tree barks.
